INTRODUCING

ABOUT US

where the story begins

Riccardo and Alessandro are neighbors with their huts (so-called Rustici in Ticino) up in the mountains overlooking the beautiful Lake Maggiore, in the sunny Canton Ticino.

Riccardo is a very dedicated craftsman who has accumulated a lot of experience working with several companies and developed during the course of the years a genuine love and interest for old farmhouses which lead him to leave the safety of employment to follow the passion of his life, restoring old Rustici.

Alessandro made a career in finance and set up years ago his company in Zurich. He grew up in Ticino and spent his youth hiking in the surrounding mountains and touring with his bike through the valleys looking for Rustici to draw and photograph.

Their friendship started up in the mountain where they restored their Rustici. One steak, one boccalino of Merlot, and the story of L&S Homes began.

L&S HOMES

honoring the land we love

Our restoration process begins with a careful assessment of the building's structural integrity, historical significance, and aesthetic qualities. We work closely with local architects to ensure that our restoration work is accurate and respectful of the building's history and equally fits modern standards.

We use only the highest quality materials and employ traditional building techniques to ensure that the restored farmhouse looks and feels authentic. Our team of experienced craftsmen is passionate about their work and takes pride in the beautiful, functional spaces they create.

At L&S Homes, we believe that restoring old farmer's houses is about more than just preserving history. It's about honoring the people who built these homes, the communities they lived in, and the land they loved. We are proud to be a part of this important work and are committed to preserving the cultural heritage of Ticino for generations to come consider that Rustici should be restored to maintain its historical value in a modern interpretation.
